Cookies and browser storage

What this site and the RentnRide apps keep in your browser. The short version: this website sets no cookies at all, and there is no advertising or analytics anywhere in this product.

Section 1This site sets no cookies

Not "only the essential ones". None. This website has no advertising, no analytics, no visitor measurement, no social embeds and no third-party scripts of any kind — so there is nothing here that would need a cookie, and nothing that would need your consent to set one.

That is also why you are not being shown a consent banner. A banner is what a site owes you when it wants to do something to you that it needs permission for. There is nothing here to ask permission for, and putting up a dialogue to say so would be theatre that costs you a tap on a slow connection.

This is a deliberate position rather than a description of the current build. If anything on this platform ever adds analytics, a consent obligation appears with it that nothing in this product currently satisfies — there is no consent record, no per-purpose choice and no way to withdraw one. Adding measurement is therefore a decision with a legal consequence attached, not a setting somebody can flip, and this paragraph is where that is written down.

Section 2What this website stores

Nothing. The table is empty because there is nothing to put in it, and an empty table is the honest form of this page.

Cookies set by rentnride.app
None. No session cookie, no preference cookie, no measurement cookie, first-party or otherwise.
Your language choice
Not a cookie. The language lives in the web address itself — the plain address is the Bangla page and the same address with a language parameter is the English one — so it is resolved on the server before the page is sent and there is nothing to store. It also means the language survives with JavaScript switched off, and that a link you share opens in the language you were reading.
Server logs
Ordinary request logs are produced for reliability and abuse limits, and the limits count against a hashed form of the connecting address rather than the address itself. These are logs, not browser storage, and nothing is written to your device.

Section 3What the staff console and app store

The staff console at the app address is a different surface with a different job: a staff member signs in there, so something has to remember that they did. It still uses no cookies. It uses browser local storage, and only for these, named here exactly as they appear on your machine so you can check.

Signed-in session — rnr.admin.session.v1
The short-lived access token and the single-use refresh token for the signed-in staff member. Strictly necessary — without it a staff member would sign in again on every screen. Never the PIN, never a phone number, never a customer record.Cleared on sign-out.
This device — rnr.admin.device.v1
A random identifier for this device, used to rotate the refresh token so that a stolen token stops working the moment either copy is used. It is a random value generated on the device, not a fingerprint of your hardware or your browser.
Screen caches and pending work
The console keeps a small local copy of the calendar board, a booking being filled in, and any handover recorded while the phone was offline, so that a dropped connection at the counter does not lose what a staff member just typed. All of it is scoped to the signed-in company and cleared on sign-out.
Display preference
Whether the console renders light or dark. A preference, kept on the device.

The public rental pages a company publishes for its own customers store nothing in the browser at all — no cookie, no local storage. A visitor can browse a company vehicles and tap through to WhatsApp without anything being written to their phone.

Section 4Third parties

This website loads nothing from anywhere else. No script, no stylesheet, no font, no image and no measurement pixel from a third-party address, which is why its content security policy can name only this site as a permitted source — a machine-enforced version of the promise on this page.

When you tap a WhatsApp link on a rental company page you leave for WhatsApp, and what happens after that is between you and Meta under their terms. That is a link, not an embed: nothing is loaded from them while you are still on the page.

Section 5If this changes

If this product ever starts setting a cookie or measuring visitors, this page changes first, the date at the top moves, and — where the law requires consent — a way to give and withdraw it ships in the same change rather than being promised for later. A cookie policy updated after the cookie is a cookie policy nobody can rely on.

A published contact address for this domain is not live yet. Until it is, renters should contact the rental company they booked with, and rental companies should use the channel their account was opened through.

About this document

The entries above were checked against the source code rather than written from memory: the storage names are the constants the console actually uses, and the claim that this site sets no cookies is enforced by there being no code in it that could. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer qualified in Bangladesh; that review is planned.
